4 Hearts Ranch was founded in July 2021 by Hallie Martin and Taylor Martin. With our four beautiful children in mind, we decided to purchase the Wills Ranch so that we could have a place to watch them grow up with wide open space and of course horses! Hallie Martin moved her flourishing training and coaching business from the esteemed DG Ranch in Gunter Texas, where she spent the past 10 years growing it to what it is today.
Born and raised on a working horse and cattle ranch in Colorado Hallie has spent her life immersed in the horse world. She grew up showing horses in 4-H and AQHA for 13 years. During the summers she volunteered at the local 4-H camp as a horseback riding instructor. Hallie attended the University of Denver where she earned a Bachelor of Science in international business. Never loosing sight of her passion for horses, she chose to move to Texas to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning everything there was to know about horses. A year and a half later, she graduated from North Central Texas College with an associate’s degree in Equine Science. During her time there, she was on the judging team and rode on the IHSA equestrian team under the instruction of equine professional Bill Kaven, whom she later completed an internship with. But her education didn’t stop there; she decided that she wanted to complete her teaching certificate in K-8, which lead to a four year teaching career in a Gainesville ISD 4th grade classroom. After the birth of her first child, she decided to focus solely on the instruction of her riders and family. In the show pen, Hallie has two World Champion titles in the all-around events in Horsemanship and Showmanship and multiple Reserve World Champion titles in the Equitation, Showmanship, and Horsemanship. It is this unique combination of education and experience that enable Hallie to bring a top tier program to their beloved ranch.
